Nature images

I am interested in exploring sublime beauty in nature. These images were taken in Springfield, MA January 1st of this year using a macro 50mm Canon lens on a Canon 5D camera.

Ilona,

These photographs are great! I love how the pattern in the sand made by the water is technically "lifeless," as it is a natural phenomenon of waves and sand. Yet it is utterly organic. If it is not technically a biological life form, it displays a wondrous pattern, a beauty which we can appreciate.

The setting in the woods is a place of adventure. The shedding of the old leaves, and the renewal of the canopy. The trees look slight and immature. This is a new woods. No dense undergrowth. It is a hidden, sheltered place but open and inviting, with soothing, filtered light.

I have more photos -- some from Emma and some of my own. The project is coming along nicely! Thanks so very much, Ilona, for sharing your creative talents and vision! Let's see where it leads next!
